Evaluation is a practical tool for effectively managing a project. There are three phases in evaluation:
- assessment of the project performance;
- value judgment based on the Five Evaluation Criteria; and
- Making recommendations, drawing lessons learnt and providing feedback.
- Confirmation of the evaluation’s purpose
- Organization of information on a target project
- Making plans for the implementation of the evaluation
- Collection and analysis of data
- Interpretation of data and putting the results together
- Reporting evaluation results
